Homebuyer Counseling

Homebuyer counseling is a required part of eligibility for the Bond Loan Program. Counseling must be completed prior to final loan approval. Please register with one of the participating homebuyer education counseling organizations listed below to schedule your 12-hour homebuyer education and training requirement. Only organizations that are certified by the Louisiana Homebuyer Education Collaborative are allow to fulfill this requirement.

The New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS (NOMAR) may reimburse the cost of homebuyer education training. Any individual that completes a Homebuyer Training Class certified by the Louisiana Homebuyer Education Collaborative and is working with a licensed REALTORĀ® will be reimbursed the total fee of their homebuyer training course after their voucher application has been received and approved.
Applicants may apply for the reimbursement as long as their Homebuyer Training Certificate is active. Funds are limited and will be reimbursed to applicants on a first come, first served basis.

For more information about this program contact Letitia Clark George at NOMAR, (504) 274-0705 letitia@nomar.org.
